Lackadaisy

I've never been the biggest fan of the "furry" genre, but I do make certain exceptions.  Tracy Butler's Lackadaisy is set in Prohibition-era St. Louis...call it the late-1920s...which, naturally, is populated by cats.  In this age of manga-inspired (and done on the cheap) everything, it's not often that you find a web-comic that is so well researched and illustrated.  Not just the characters themselves, but everything from the period clothing and settings, right down to the cobblestones on the streets of St. Louie.

Thus far the web-comic has been awarded or nominated for nine Web Cartoonist's Choice Awards (2007-08), two Ursa Major Awards (2007 and 2009), and an Eisner Award (2011).

So, with that said, when Tracy offered up a pre-order for a limited run of hard-bound copies of Lackadaisy Vol. 1 back at the beginning of December....yeah, I jumped at it.  Call it a Christmas present to myself.  I got in contact with Tracy about getting the book signed, but little did I know (she nor the publisher made mention of it publicly) that all of the initial pre-order copies were signed...call it a Christmas surprise.  She even offered to personalize mine. :)

Shego - Femlin (Extra)

A little extra-short story from The Supreme One (aka the "Kigo Loving Lesbian").  She wrote it especially for the Femlin piece I recently did:

A rather stately woman approached the bar, her hind end catching the bartender's eye.
"Hello, ma'am, is there something I can get you" he said, keenly interested in the movements of her curvaceous body.
She looked up at him, and realized there wasn't a menu "I don't usually come to places like this, but do you have any specials today"
The bartender was rather taken aback by her lacking of knowledge on bars and bar etiquette "We don't have specials here ma'am"
To his surprise, she seemed to expect this answer. "So I see...... surprise me, then!"
With a toothy smile, he responded "I'll see what I can pull together..." he dismissed himself and got to work making her drink.

A few moments later he returned. "One vodka Sheegtini... shaken, not stirred"
During her wait she had developed a distinct craving for olive, so without even looking, she began to modify her order "May you please add some," then the drink caught her eye ,"oliv.... OH MY GOD!"
The small, green woman in that glass looked at the stately lady, and in her most proper English responded, "I already came with some, my mistress" to which she held up the toothpick with one olive on it.

Shego - Femlin

Back in June the world lost one of it's greatest expressionist artists, LeRoy Neiman, best know for his depiction of sporting events such as (American) football and the Kentucky Derby.  Neiman is widely recognized for his "femlin" characters in Playboy magazine's "Party Jokes" page since 1955.  For all intents and purposes, every single piece you've ever seen of a girl in a martini glass...you can thank Neiman for that.

Naturally, Neiman's femlins were all done in black and white, but....yeah...

Christmas Wishlist

Ann only has one thing on her Christmas list...and I'm fairly certain "Santa" is about to make her wish come true.

Merry Christmas, Seasons Greeting, and Happy New Year from the G-man everybody!

Dee Pee

Somehow I get the impression that Betty is enjoying herself, but filled with doubt and self-loathing.  Cheating on her husband, a little incest, and her first double-down...  Yeah, just going straight for the self-hating personality trifecta, all in one sitting.

Club Banana - Work Files

A couple of work files from the G-man's most recent peice, the Club Banana Crossover.  For posting purposes, I did modify Daphne's skin tone a bit from the original.  It looks good against a yellow background, but as a stand-alone it's a little too....ummm...olive-colored.

Desiree

Just a revamp of one I did several years ago.  Pretty much the same shadows / shading, but now a little smoother....and sexy as ever.
