Go Team Monarch
Yeah, like nobody saw this one coming....Dr Mrs the Monarch (aka Dr Girlfriend) appears in a cheerleader outfit and you think I ain't gonna jump all over that? What the hell were you thinking? For as much as I would love to draw Henchmen 21 in leather and a ball gag....I just can't bring myself to it.

Roto-What?
Part of a pic I posted last year, but obviously without the toon aspect. It's really nothing more than coloring over an existing photo...similar to Rotoscoping in traditional cel animation which originally involved tracing over film frame-by-frame. Rotoscoping is the process used to achieve the look of such films as: A Scanner Darkly (2006), Tron (1982), Heavy Metal (1981), Lord of the Rings (1978), Wizards (1977), and Yellow Submarine (1968).

A Friend Indeed
Nothing new to report except to say that I am now the most recent Friend of Paheal. As I understand it, most folks request to be on the "A-List". I however, was invited....so, in that sense, I feel kinda honored. Special even.
Yeah, yeah...I know...."Shuddup and go draw something. Friggin' apple polisher!"
So, in the mean time (yet again), here's a little something to pass the time. Apparently Nicolas Cage has some sort of eating disorder.

Cavalry Leads The Way
I'm sure this isn't quite what you'd normally expect me to do, but I woke up this morning feeling a little nostalgic and banged out a few pieces that are near and dear to my heart. Once upon a time in a galaxy far, far away I was a Sapper, serving my first four years in the 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment (2ACR) (now know as the 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment) and the 1st Cavalry Division (1CD). I did eight years in the active Army then went into the National Guard for another ten years to work on and/or Crew Chief AH-64A Apache, UH-60 Blackhawk, and CH-47 Chinook. All said and done, I did eighteen years and amassed seven combat tours before retiring in 2007. There aren't too many people who can say they retired at the ripe old age of 37.

Just Say No
Several individuals (more like a baker's dozen) have recently asked me to color / ink pictures depicting transgendered women...or futa if you prefer. Personally, I don't understand the fascination of "chicks with dicks" in cartoon form...and I probably never will. To be clear, I'm not some prudish bible-thumping Jesus-freak or hate-mongering redneck who thinks all homosexuals and transgendered people will burn in the hell fires of eternal damnation. Ok, I am a redneck, but the previously mentioned doesn't apply to me and would otherwise disagree with my atheist tendencies....weird how that works sometimes. I'm one of those "live and let live" types....but without the hippie overtones.
Now, as for drawing, coloring, or inking cartoons depicting transgendered women.....I think this sums up my position rather nicely:

Well, it would seem that even I am capable of learning something new every day. Just when I thought dickgirls / futa was some new-ish phenomenon it would seem that futanari (which literally means "dual form") has been around since before the the 17th century. Prior to 1644CE the appeal of futanari characters portrayed by onnagata actors was very popular in Japanese theatre. Onnagata are male actors who impersonate women in Japanese kabuki theatre. It wasn't until the 1990s when futa (in it's hentai form) caught on in the West by way of (depending upon who you ask) it's relationship and similarity to "shemale" pornography and/or the yuri genre.
Now, does any of this mean that futa will suddenly and quite magically become palatable to me? Don't fuckin' hold your breath.

Raven and Starfire
Raven and Starfire often remind of the me of the Kim Possible and Shego paring...in the sense that two complete polar opposites certainly makes for a cute couple.

Where's The Beef?
Truth to tell, I've been wanting to do the Wendy's chick for quite a while. Errrrr....yeah....that sounds pretty bad. What I meant was, I've been wanting to color a pic of the Wendy's chick for quite some time now. In real life she is a caricature of Wendy's founder Dave Thomas' daughter, Melinda Lou "Wenda" Morse. Twenty-six years later, I can still picture old Clara Peller saying, "Where's the beef?"

Sandy and Bob
Damnit man! Talk about taking forever to complete...and I thought the Mrs Monarch one was bad! Well, four months and two versions later I finally got off my ass and finished this one last night. Sandy was a little more "big boned" in her original incarnation. I'm not sure why I gave her such a worried expression....she's probably asking Bob, "Ummm, why am I not drowning?"

Dr Mrs The Monarch
First and foremost I have to apologize to False-Emporor / Neo-Death for taking forever and a day to complete this one. For one reason or another...mostly complacency with a dash or job related stress thrown in for good measure...I just couldn't seem to get the shadowing down.
So, with that said, a new season of Venture Bros is in full swing. Naturally, renewals of shows / toons I love tends to bring out the best in me....or the worst in me, depending upon you point of view.

Flexible Rates
What can I say? I'm infatuated with an animated spy / auto insurance agent. What can yuh do? Naturally, I've gotta give a little nod in SFToon's general direction for the inspiration....otherwise, this one is all Greg. He also has this one posted on *gag* *wretch* *convulse* deviantART.
