Corporate Branch

A piece of corporate art at the Orange County Convention Center I spotted while attending Megacon 2010.  As a general rule I absolutely loath the generic quality of corporate artwork, but the contrast with the structural framing and windows caught my eye.

I have a friend whose secondary job is to go around, catalog, and track corporate artwork at various local branches of a Fortune 500 company.  No, really, that's her job!  To some that would seem like a dream come true...to her (and me) it's a mind-numbing, soul-crushing, tedious shit job that ought to be given to some pasty, pimple-faced intern.
